We must continue to focus on developing a constructive water policy.

As a Prescott City Councilmember I will vote for water, facilitate transparency, and encourage civic engagement. I will strive for Prescott to become a thriving 21st Century city, with a balance between growth and sustainability. I look forward to serving you. — Jay Ruby

A son of the American Revolution working to protect water and help Prescott thrive.

Jay Ruby moved to Prescott 28 years ago. He had a vision of the Yavapai County Courthouse plaza as a Greek amphitheater. To bring that vision to life he started two cultural enterprises: the Tsunami on the Square festival and The Carpetbag Brigade physical theater company (TCB). While working as a teacher at Kestrel High School and an archivist for sculptor John Waddell, he founded and built Tsunami on the Square into a community celebration where it gathered thousands every summer on the courthouse plaza for a family-friendly event that inspired, entertained, and unified the city of Prescott. As the creative and communications leader of an international touring theater company (TCB), Jay leads teams to success in complex, demanding environments with tight deadlines and competing priorities. He continues to direct The Carpetbag Brigade, producing events at the Hazeltine Theater while running his consulting firm, Juniper Granite.
